Unfortunately, the application doesn't have an auto-record option. It records only if you press the Click to view button. I recommend you contact the developers for further information. You can get in touch with them using the contact information that you can find on the official web page.
I purchased an SMC IP camera and received IPView Pro version 3.00.07. When I try to play a recorded file, I only hear the audio in Windows Media Player. There is no video. Does this version provide the appropriate AVI format for WMP?

You can either install VLC which has native support for AVI files or you can install additional codecs for your system which will enhance WMP's functionality. If you choose to use additional codecs, download them, install the package and then you will be able to play the file in WMP.
No, this application is compatible with Windows operating systems only. There is no Mac version released for any of the products.
